A couple of reports from the National Wedding Show at the NEC where photographers earn their bread and butter in bookings. Emily Quinton had a stand and Steve Gerrard, having been on the other side of the lens for a change, went to check out the competition.

Nightingales Saved

The Nightingale club off Hurst St was in a bit of bother recently with, surprise surprise, a noise complaint from a property developer. Thankfully this was thrown out by the council’s licensing sub-committee on Monday. Further details in the Post and the Stirrer.

Guitarfest this weekend.

Birminghamusic.com has news of Guitarfest, taking place at Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre this weekend. Saturday 13th is acoustic and Sunday 14th is electric.
