Dayus Square

The junction/square/roundabout/free-for-all where Albion Street, Legge Lane and Carver Street all meet (in the Jewellery Quarter) is now called Dayus Square. This appeared the other day: It’s in memory of Kathleen Dayus, a writer whose books were set nearby. The BBC and Birmingham Mail have more info.

Black Country Atelier

Black Country Atelier is a 3D prototyping workspace. They also take design and architecture commissions and have just moved to the Jewellery Quarter. I like the sound of their 3D printing workshops.

Design Space: Bringing New Talent to Birmingham
