The junction/square/roundabout/free-for-all where Albion Street, Legge Lane and Carver Street all meet (in the Jewellery Quarter) is now called Dayus Square. This appeared the other day:
It’s in memory of Kathleen Dayus, a writer whose books were set nearby. The BBC and Birmingham Mail have more info.
This is a lovely tribute. The books are a must for anyone interested in the the history of Birmingham.
