The new Birmingham Loves Photographers programme kicks off on Thursday 20th March with the launch of the first exhibition along with a film screening of ‘Everybody Street’ in association with Flatpack Film Festival.
Between March and October, there will be a series of over 20 photography events, open to photographers of a variety of abilities and interests and funded by a Grant For The Arts from Art Council England. As well as independently run events, there will also be a series of collaborations such as with Multistory, Some Cities, Flatpack Film Festival, GRAIN Photography Hub, Redeye, Capsule, Photoschool, Birmingham Architecture Festival, mac Birmingham, Fotofilia and The Darkroom.
There will be a mixture of free and charged events.
The launch Event is a screening of Everybody Street at 6/8 Kafé, in association with Flatpack Film Festival, along with the launch of Street Photography exhibition with the work of Matt Obrey and Martin Pickard. Thursday 20th March 7.00-8.30pm, 6/8 Kafé
