Christmas Concert for Human Rights

There’s a concert at Birmingham Cathedral, Colmore Row tomorrow, 12 December, starting at 11.30am. It’s being put on by The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture and Amnesty International UK (via Bourneville Amnesty). Tickets are a fiver.

Rights Without Borders

Birmingham’s Amnesty International group is putting on an event with Writers Without Borders called Rights Without Borders. It’s on Saturday 6 Dec from 7.30pm at the Library Theatre and entry is free.

Jiva Parthipan – Stuff Of Life

In the video for Amnesty International’s Unsubscribe campaign, Birmingham-based artist Jiva Parthipan ‘played’ the part of a detainee subjected to waterboarding.
