RE:Present master class series

The RE:Present programme is a new initiative delivered by Lara Ratnaraja and Creative Shift aimed at developing leadership in emergent and established cultural producers and artists from diverse backgrounds who are currently under-represented in Birmingham.

As part of the initiative there will be a series of master classes open to the public, part of an active programme to build a community and network of people with an interest in leadership in general and in particular cultural leadership.
The first master class speakers:

Maria Balshaw – Director of the Whitworth Museum

Thursday 10 March 2016, 6-8pm. Adrian Cadbury Lecture Hall, Aston University. Free.
Director of the Whitworth since June 2006, Maria Balshaw was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to the arts in June 2015. The Whitworth has been short listed for The European Museum of the Year Award, just one of three UK venues to be nominated for the prestigious award.

Maria will share her insights into leadership, the challenges she faced and how she made it to the top. Book here.
