Back for a fifth year, Scalarama is an international celebration of cinema taking place during September.
For 2015 there are more events than ever in Birmingham. Highlights include:
- Live text and sound mash-ups at Vivid Projects with Repeator – Material World.
- A chance to see the Birmingham Camera Obscura in action.
- The Purple Rose of Cairo – one of Woody Allen’s greatest, playing with the fuzzy boundaries between fantasy and reality.
- Video Strolls – a leisurely wander, exploring the curious relationship between psyche and place in a series of shorts in the comfortable surroundings of the Wellington.
- A showcase of the work of Reel Access, including a film made with homeless charity SIFA Fireside starring local homeless people in a tale of life and love in the city.
- Dots & Loops – the return of Flatpack’s short film night + special guests.
- Watch short films introduced by the people who made them, or even show your own at Magic Cinema.
