New exhibition opens tonight at Grand Union, 6-8pm

OVER AND OVER PURE FORM is a solo exhibition of work by London based artist Fay Nicolson. At Grand Union she presents a body of interconnected works exploring learning and the distance between experience and images.

The exhibition will consist of a series of large, rhythmic screen-prints on to un-stretched canvas and silks, much like large textiles or abstract paintings.

Fay uses these prints as visual backdrop for photographic works, in which she will perform a series of playful postures and repeated gestures. These are drawn from Fay’s experience of dancing in both her local Ukrainian Club and Dance school as a child and are channelled through a love of modern minimal music and choreography.

A series of events accompanies the exhibition in the Grand Union space; including a family workshop, an artist’s talk and a closing performance.

More information about the associated events, and other lovely things on the Grand Union website.

Exhibition continues until 8th August 2015.
