“Imagine putting your head inside a youtube video…”
The Custard Factory is set to host video displays of Pink Floyd at The Dome using a projector made by LM Productions – who specialise in making equipment for ‘large scale dome projections, lasers and inflatable venues’.
Self proclaimed as “Birmingham’s answer to Montreal’s SATosphère“, The Dome Club – 360° Dome display, began in early 2013 at Think Tank at Millennium Point. Now they are bringing their technology and creative work to The Custard Factory and they invite everyone to experience “something a little different.”
Mario Di Maggio, founder of the Dome Club, started out working with dome displays as a result of his experience from working in Planetariums. He’s acted as a consultant on large projects in the past, such as the Macao Science Centre Planetarium in China from 2003 till 2008, and a little closer to home at the Peter Harrison Planetarium during 2006 at Greenwich in London.
Dome Club it will be projecting Pink Floyd’s; Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of The Moon and The Wall. Each show will be displayed on different dates so follow the link here to find what’s playing, and when. Then click on over to here to book your place.

Thank you for this superb article! Quick correction: we had to make a last-minute change in venue from The Dome to the Old Library (across the lane). The latter is even prettier (and a lot warmer :-)

Thanks Mario, amended! Hope the events go well.
