Art Box is a festival of contemporary art, crafts, and all things creative. 2012 saw Art Box’s first festival in the lovely cathedral city Lichfield – and next year it’s coming to Birmingham too.
Art Box 2014 is coming and we’re currently looking for artists and volunteers to help us make the second Art Box twice as good as the first one because this time we’re back, bigger and better, and spreading ourselves across two weekends and two cities; Lichfield and Birmingham.
Art Box hopes to create opportunities for artists across different spheres of invention to exhibit in unusual venues and offers the chance to exhibit with their peers and other artists. We invite not just fine art applicants, but sculptors, musicians, even sugarcrafters!
Thematically, obviously we love anything based around boxes, but this year we really want to celebrate the concept of upcycling.
