Good For Nothing Birmingham

Good For Nothing brings together smart people to save social problems. It’s a national thing, and three bright sparks from Birmingham are bringing it to our area.

Good for Nothing is a community of thinkers, do-ers, makers and tinkerers applying their skills and energy to accelerate the work of cause-led innovators and change makers; it’s about diverse groups of people collaborating together, working in new, faster, fun and better ways by supporting ideas and people that are leading the way to what a flourishing 21st century society might look like.

Their first official Good For Nothing Birmingham meet-up is at the new Cherry Reds on John Bright Street, between 6pm-10.30pm, Thursday 24th October.

The organising force behind @GFNBirmingham is @lisabarrett_, @ImmyKaur and @ryandc.

  2. I promote drawing or ‘making marks with meaning’ as a way of understanding more about ourselves, other people and the world we all live in. This can be ‘art’ but for most people it’s a perfectly natural capability that we all share: people drew on walls (very well as it happens!) before they found out how to write and if you can play noughts and crosses you can draw ! As Andrew Marr in his newly published book makes clear, drawing in any form is a way of improving one’s quality of life.
