Friday Lunchtime Links – 18th January 2013

Check out these links over the snowy weekend:

Flatpack Festival are on the way to reaching their kickstarter target, and could still do with your help! There are only 14 days left, and the terms of kickstarter state that if they don’t reach their target, they don’t get any of the money. You can get a festival pass for £100 which works out at £10 a day for the festival. Bargain. Help spread the word!

The Coffee Club Collective of illustrators (who we’ve written about a handful of times) have secured exhibition space at Pick Me Up Festival in London this year, which is great news!

Secret Walls are looking for new artists for their global art battles: “Upload your B+W sketches to Instagram and add the hashtag #secretwalls”

The Lombard Methods’ latest exhibition launches next week: Fortune tellers are making a killing nowadays

Polaroids and Polarbears “brings you the latest in cultural entertainment from Birmingham. There’s alot happening, you just have to know where to look”

The return of the late 1960s JFK memorial is almost complete. The mosaic memorial by Kenneth Budd (originally in the middle of St Chad’s Circus roundabout) has been in storage for six years ever since it was pulled down in 2007, as part of the redevelopment of St Chad’s Circus. Here’s an instagram snap I took last weekend:
