Birmingham: Its People, Its History

I thought about making a Welcome to Birmingham post dedicated to this, and maybe one day I will. Last week Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery opened up their newly refurbished galleries dedicated to 500 years of Birmingham history. Visitors can explore the city’s global heritage from medieval times and the industrial revolution, through to the World Wars and on to the modern day.

It’s a detailed insight into how Birmingham  has been shaped by its people into the city it is today. With models and interactive displays, the gallery is engaging and will keep your interest throughout. A recommended visit for anyone who wants to learn more about the city.

Admission is free.

Birmingham museums have also recently launched a quiz app that you can downloaded here
