While in this fractured media landscape such pronouncements are fraught with being bollocks, it does seem to me that Drowned in Sound is one of the better music sites, comparable to the NME back when it was good, so it’s notable that in their roundup of bands to watch in 2008 they’ve picked Beestung Lips and Johnny Foreigner, both from Birmingham. And, personal prejudices aside, I’d say that was a fair judgement. via Birminghamusic.
