Full report to come soon but we tried something new, sticking a little digital camera <em>inside<\/em> the camera obscura to record what it saw.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a nice representative clip from early Saturday of the mirror being attached, the view playing out and then, two minutes in, Pete\u2019s friend <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/104821154\">Ian being given a tour<\/a>. Here\u2019s a timelapse from a lazy Sunday morning of <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/104882893\">1 hour compressed into one minute<\/a>. The flashes are when the hood is opened for people to look in.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/104882893?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Finally, towards the end of Sunday we\u2019d taken the camera out of the camera and one of the many gangs of feral festival kids formed a surprisingly orderly <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/104944623\">queue to stick their heads in<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/104944623?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The camera-inside-the-camera has been a particularly intriguing development, particularly when it can be connected to a smartphone allowing us to monitor what\u2019s going on inside. The resulting footage doesn\u2019t compare to the magic of seeing the images with your eyes but it does open up some new possibilities which I think we\u2019ve only just scratched.
